commonly called the “oil of tranquility,” this oil derives from the roots of an aromatic grass indigenous to india and has been a favorite fragrance of royalty for centuries. in ayurvedic literature it is referred to as "sita-mulaka" or "having cool roots." it thrives along the riverbanks of india in rich, marshy soil.
