A Letter from Yael
If you like your reading in sound bites, stop now - I love a good run on sentence. I do not use any tech support in my writing because I like to move slowly, and beauty does not need to be rushed - except for on-time-deliveries and managing production, beauty should not involve a deadline. Maybe that is why we have been here doing things well for twenty-five years and truly it is my goal to keep doing things slowly, well, and meaningfully with the interesting, smart and capable people that give Red Flower its life. I have worked in the beauty industry in my mind since I was five years old, and in reality, since my early twenties - lucky enough to land a position in Tokyo in what I think is one of the best beauty companies in the world, Shiseido, Japan. Beauty is how my mind finds purpose. I credit my expansive time alone in my backyard and probably my genetic disposition toward spirituality, integrity, love-of-land, and the creative possibility of scientific inquiry based in nature, with the creation of Red Flower.
All this to say, have you tried the Red Flower Moonflower Softening Lotion?
I want to write a love letter to every single Red Flower product. Each one has so many stories associated with the aromatherapy, the texture, the sensorial delight, the benefits, the way other people experience it when you envelop yourself in it. Life is short and should smell sweet. (I am not a longevity, outlive everybody seeker, just really trying to be healthy and vital with what life has to give) (I do strongly believe that little bursts of good things can add together to make your time happier and calmer, ie a simplistic mood cure in instants - a smile, a warm bath and sunshiney sky, tea, washing your hands in warm water with good soap).
Back to Red Flower Moonflower lotion (yes we were the first to use Moonflower as a beauty word...I do not understand why so many others followed suit, as Moonflower itself is so evanescent and hard to capture). I used the flower to capture a mood more than a scent…hopefully you believe in originals and will let us set your standard for what moonflower should feel like and smell like. Moonflower is a summer, night blooming vine, its white trumpet like flower blooms at night and looks pale blue in the moonlight as it vines up toward the night sky attracting night time pollinators with its dream-like nectar. To make the aromatherapeutic essence that is Red Flower moonflower, we blend ((by we, I mean the herbal, botanical, marvelous wizards in our small but brainy work lab) (thats you GD)) notes of river grasses and boronia (read that one until you can smell it - boronia is like wet paper, deep earth, a pink butterfly, morning dew, bird song, a breath, in a flower, once you smell it you will never forget it - rare and wonderful)...

This is why Red Flower Moonflower (and really Red Flower anything and everything) is so inimitable - it is human, it is chance, it is feel first, cost later, it is about giving something unforgettable, and tapping into the force of nature.
When I apply Moonflower Lotion to my arms, my legs, my neck, my hands I know my day is off to a better start, my night is heading toward softer dreams. This lotion is light-weight, hydrating, and therapeutic in every way. If you simply want the sound-bite, it is this: “A botanical moisturizer crafted to deeply hydrate, leaving your skin soft and beautifully scented." Read the ingredients, look at your skin health, take a deep inhale of aroma - and I promise you will not be disappointed.
