in an effort to continue red flower’s path towards
environmental consciousness and sustainable sourcing
of ingredients, yael alkalay has searched the world over
for an appropriate project to channel the company’s
passion for products that help promote green living.

experience the recreation of the harmony hotel on
the nosara coast, costa rica - built to the highest
standards of green architecture and abutting a nature
preserve, everything about the harmony engages with
the earth. the grey water system that courses through
the veins of the property feeds into banana trees, ginger
plants and heliotropes. to sustain the life and vitality of
the plants being fed by the grey water system every
product that is used in the baths and showers and spa
must be 100% biodegradable and biocompatible. creating
a product range that not only acts as a plant nutrient, but
also lives up to the red flower standard of luxurious
textures, vitalizing performance and intensely generous
scents, was just the challenge that yael was looking for.

the red flower biocompatible range of body and
hair products is in every shower at the harmony
and will be available at retail in entirely biodegradable
packaging at retail and spa domestically in late 2006.

to enhance its knowledge and experience, red flower
is collaborating with the earth university and the
harmony hotel to biodynamically grow and directly
distill flower oils on site in costa rica.
